Having trained and worked at two of Scotland's biggest law firms, Daniel has an excellent blend of local understanding and commercial experience.

Described by Chambers Legal Directory as a ‘stand out’ amongst his peers, Daniel has a particular specialism in Employment Law. He has an enviable record in representing clients in
Employment Tribunals across the UK and has acted, and continues to act, for some of the largest employers in Scotland and a number of household names.

His experience covers the full spectrum of Employment Law including advising international media companies, negotiating complex high value settlement agreements, advising on significant industrial relations disputes and providing advice on complex TUPE transfers.

He also regularly acts for clients in commercial and private matters, using his broad expertise to help clients with whatever legal issues they face.

Working for more than 40 years as a private client and conveyancing solicitor, John is one of the most experienced practitioners in the North of Scotland. He was born and educated in Aberdeen and served his apprenticeship in Edinburgh.

After working in Edinburgh, both in the public and private sectors, John moved to Dornoch.

He has extensive experience in assisting clients with a broad range of issues, and his invaluable knowledge of the local area helps him provide an excellent and commercially aware service to his clients.
Colin  Milligan

Colin is a graduate of Edinburgh University, joining a leading law firm on completion of his Diploma in Legal Practice. He was subsequently Called to the Bar as an Advocate where he remained until 2010 when he returned to the Highlands and re-entered private practice as a Solicitor.

Although his background is primarily in litigation, his experience of appearing as Counsel in disputes relating to land and title conditions from the Lands Tribunal and Sheriff Court to the Court of Session and Appeal Court provide an invaluable foundation for assisting clients with rural land matters.

He regularly acts for clients in commercial matters, with a particular focus on windfarm developments, hydro-electric schemes and telecommunications leases. He advises on resolution of title disputes and acts in matters of private client. His tenacious style ensures he achieves the best results for his clients.

With over 20 years’ experience dealing with a wide range of employment matters across Scotland, Lindsay is well placed to offer pragmatic advice and services to clients.

Lindsay has extensive senior management experience across many sectors including transport, criminal justice and education. She brings a portfolio of services to help you manage your business including TUPE transfers, restructuring and redundancy programmes and employment case work. Lindsay has a practical approach to resolving employment matters and works in partnership with her clients to find the best outcome for them. She takes a balanced approach when advising clients on the risks they face and helps them navigate their options to achieve their required outcomes.

Lindsay holds an LLM Masters in Employment Law and Practice which gives her clients the comfort and reassurance that her experience and knowledge goes far beyond a traditional HR service.
